Structure and Working Principle

A typical lithium-ion battery consists of three main components: the anode, the cathode, and the electrolyte. The anode is usually made of graphite, while the cathode consists of a lithium metal oxide. The electrolyte facilitates the movement of lithium ions between the electrodes during charging and discharging. When the battery charges, lithium ions move from the cathode to the anode, storing energy. During discharge, the ions flow back to the cathode, releasing stored energy to power devices.
